Safety and Rackmountable Systems
~
WARNING: Always install rack stabilizers before installing components in the rack. Without the front
and side stabilizers, the rack might tip over, which could cause bodily injury.
~
WARNING: Never pull more than one component out of the rack at a time. Doing so can cause the
rack to tip over, which could cause bodily injury.
~
WARNING: The full weight of the rack must rest evenly on the floor, and the rack must be anchored
mechanically, to ensure stability in the event of an earthquake.
Read and follow all cautions, warnings, labels, and instructions on the rack and the systems to be stored in
the rack. In addition to what is written there, follow the Quantum-provided rackmount instructions and these
guidelines:
l The stabilizers must be secured to the rack. A single rack requires both front and side stabilizers. Joined
multiple racks (minimally) require front stabilizers.
l The stabilizers must extend to the floor.
l Observe the maximum rated ambient temperature, which is specified in the product documentation.
l Maintain the air flow clearances specified in the product documentation.
