Mounting an Internal Drive
You can install your Seagate internal DDS drive
horizontally or vertically (on its side). Figure 8
shows a 3.5-inch drive being installed in a typical
system using side mounting screws.
Mounting the Drive in a 3.5-Inch Drive Bay
Mount the drive in a 3.5-inch drive bay and
secure it using two M3.0 metric screws on each
side of the drive. Do not use nonmetric screws or
screws longer than 4 mm or you might damage
the drive. As shown in Figure 9, the 3.5-inch
drive has four screw holes on the bottom and
five on each side.
