Note – If a tape cartridge has been exposed to extreme heat or cold, stabilize the
cartridge at room temperature for the same amount of time it was exposed (up to 24
hours).

1. Make sure that the Operate Handle LED is on (FIGURE 2-1).
2. Lift the cartridge insert/release handle (

3. Insert the cartridge into the tape drive.
