Installation Instructions

1. Assemble the plaster frame by installing the two hanger bars into the slots on either side of the plaster frame. Then position the assembly between
two joists by hammering in the tabs and finally securing both hanger bars with a 1"-1" nail through the hole next to the tab.
2. Mark the opening for the hole of the plaster frame on the ceiling material. This is the hard part. The hole not only has to be an accurate size, but it also
has to be in the exact location of the plaster frame, which is already installed in the ceiling. Once the hole(s) are made, the ceiling material is installed.
3. Pull the cable down through the hole. In order to make the wiring connections in the junction box, you will need to remove one or more knockouts and
insert box connectors to securely hold the house cable. Once all of the cables are secure, connect the wires together using the appropriate size wire
connectors. Connect white to white, black to black, and bare copper
(or green insulated) to bare copper (or green insulated). Replace the
junction box door.
4. Remove the 3 ceiling clips for the housing and discard. Place the housing,
junction box first, up through the opening in the ceiling.
5. Use the 3 machine screws supplied with the plaster frame to secure the
housing to the plaster frame, by passing them through each "T" slot and
into the holes in the raised tabs in the plaster frame. Push the housing up
against the ceiling material and tighten all 3 screws.
