Turning the radio on/off
Adjusting the Volume
Rotate the Power/Volume Knob clockwise/counter-
clockwise to turn the radio on/off. The radio will
beep when power on. (Figure 6)
To communicate, press and hold the PTT button
and speak in a normal voice into the microphone.
The RED LED will light while transmitting.
To receive a call, release the PTT button. The GREEN
LED will light when a signal is received. (Figure 8)
Note:
1.When the battery level is ultra-low, the radio can
not make a transmission.
2.Hold the radio 2 to 3 inches from your mouth.

FM Radio Function (Optional)
With the radio off, long press Monitor button while power on the radio again, your radio will
beep two times while enter FM Radio Mode. Press Monitor button to search up, and long
press Function button to exit.
Power Saving
When no signal is received /transmitted or no operation for 5 seconds, the radio will
automatically enter Battery Saving mode to reduce power consumption. The radio
will exit from Battery Saving Mode when receiving a signal or any operation of the
button.
Low Battery Alert
When the battery level is too low, your radio will beep every 10 seconds to alert you
to recharge the battery in time.
Press and hold key for 2 seconds to turn on/off.

When no signal is received, pressing
key then rotating the power/volume knob
to adjust the volume.
This radio has CTCSS/DCS Privacy Code(PC programmable). You can use the privacy
code on channel 1-15. The code for each channel must be different. To communicate,
all radios in your group must be set on the same channel and have same privacy code.
Transmission on same frequency with different privacy code won't be received by your
radio.
Note: Privacy Code can only be set via programming software.
Scan Function
Scan Function enables your radio to scan for active channels. To enter:
Step 1: Turn on Scan Function: switch to Channel 15, then power off the radio; long
press the PTT button while power on the radio,your radio will beep two times and turn
on Scan function.
Step 2: When Scan Function is on, switch to Channel 15, your radio will beep one time
and enter Scan Mode automatically.
When activity is detected, your radio stays on that channel. To transmit on that channel,
press PTT button. Your radio will resume scanning after 3 seconds when the channel
is no longer active.
To exit from Scan Mode, repeat the same procedure as Step 1, your radio will beep one
time to confirm.

Voice Prompt
Voice prompt from the speaker announce the channel number. You can change voice
prompts using the Function button. Rotate to Channel 15, then power off the radio; press
and hold down the Function button while power on the radio to switch the language.
This radio has English and Chinese voice prompt.
Note: There are three modes of voice prompt (English Mode, Chinese Mode, Silent
Mode). When you change to Silent Mode, all "beeps" and "tones" are disabled.
When there is no signal received, the squelch circuit in the radio will mute the speaker
automatically, and no background noise will be heard. Press and hold Monitor button,
background noise will be heard while enter Monitor Mode. Monitor function can be used
to adjust the volume level of the radio when no signal is received; also can be used to
check activity of the current channel when the signal is too weak.
The squelch level can be set via programming software, range from 0-9. Default : 4. If
the squelch level set too high, weak signal won't be received. If the squelch level set
to low, background noise will emit from speaker while receiving a signal.

This function is to avoid long period of occupying a channel. When user transmits a call
over the preset time, the radio will beep and automatically stop transmitting. To resume
to Work Mode, release the PTT button. If the pre-alarm TOT function is on, the radio
will beep to alert users to the expiration of TOT in advance without affecting the
communication until the preset time of TOT is up.
Note: The limited time of TOT can be set via programming software. (Default limited time:
60 seconds)

Change the privacy code of all radios in your group.

Check battery installation or replace/charge battery.
Make sure all radios are using the same frequency
and privacy code. Make sure you are within the range
of other radio.
