Install the sub-ashing over the post, making sure

Apply 1/8" thick layer of roong cement around
the top and sides of the sub-ashing with at least
1" extending past the sides of the ashing onto the
felt. Layer should be about the thickness of a nickel.
While cement is still wet apply 3 pieces of rein-
forcing fabric strips where felt paper and ashing
meet – a 14" strip along the top, and a 10" strip
along each side.
Fasten the sub-ashing into place with two roof-
ing nails, one in each top corner.
Installation Tools Required: gloves, hammer, brush, roong nails, roong cement, trowel, roll of reinforcing fabric
Note: The three-course method may used to ash all QBase tile products as well as the Tile Replacement Mount Base Mount and the Tile Replacement
Conduit Penetration Flashing following the same procedure outlined here.
After rst layer of cement is dry apply second layer
over reinforcing fabric to nish waterproong of
sub-ashing.
NOTE: The TRI/FRSA Florida guidelines indicate
the sub-ashing being ashed using the three-
course method on ALL FOUR SIDES. Alternative
ashing methods may be approved by the AHJ at
their discretion.
