resistant, non-film-forming, penetrating sealer for interior or exterior,
horizontal or vertical surfaces that allows the natural beauty of the
surface to come through. QUIKRETE
®
Waterproofing Sealer is
particularly suitable for decorative, stained or exposed-aggregate
concrete and for natural stone, bricks and pavers. Resists water, deicing
salts, and gasoline.

• 5 gal No. 8800-07 (19 L) pail
COVERAGE
Apply at 75-150 sq ft per gallon (7-14 M
2
). Coverage will depend on
porosity of surface
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Typical physical properties of QUIKRETE
®
Waterproofing Sealer are
identified in Table 1.

INSTALLATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
New concrete: Allow a minimum of 30 days for new concrete to cure
before applying Waterproofing Sealer.
Existing surfaces: Surface must be clean and dry. Oil stains, dirt and
other contaminants must be removed. Use QUIKRETE
®
Concrete and
Asphalt Cleaner (No. 8601) or QUIKRETE Oil Stain Remover (No
8670-06) to properly prepare the surface. Unsound or flaking concrete
should be removed or repaired. Do not apply over existing paint or
stain.
Previously sealed surfaces: Surface must be clean, porous and able
to accept additional sealer. Do not use this product on non-porous,
sealed or painted surfaces. To test, place drops of water on the
surface. If the water is absorbed, the surface is porous enough to
accept the sealer. This product should not be top-coated with other
coatings or epoxies.
APPLICATION
WEAR IMPERVIOUS GLOVES, such as nitrile. QUIKRETE®
Concrete & Masonry Waterproofing Sealer is ready-to-use and can be
applied with a roller, brush or a garden sprayer. Apply in a uniform
thickness to obtain coverage of 75-150 sq. ft (7-14 M
2
) per gallon.
Coverage will vary depending on surface texture and porosity. A
second coat can be applied while the first coat is still wet after 5-10
minutes. Apply second coat perpendicular to the first. Wipe off excess
sealer from surface before it dries. Do not allow product to pool on the
surface. Clean up with warm, soapy water.
PRECAUTIONS
Apply only if air and surface temperatures are 50°F to 90°F (10°C to
32
o
C). Do not apply if raining, heavy dew or temperatures below 50°F
(10°C) are expected within 24 hours. Do not use to seal areas prone to
standing water. Resists and repels water. Does not replace an exterior
membrane for waterproofing basement walls. Keep from freezing. Do
not apply more than recommended amount. Do not use below grade.
