PRODUCT USE
Because of their great effectiveness, QUIKRETE
®
Ice melting
products can be used sparingly. Spread at the rate of 1/4 lb. (115 g)
per square yard (0.8 m
2
) in an even manner.
Benefits:
Quickly removes snow and ice from driveways, walks,
steps, and other walkways.
• Increased traction on snow and ice.
To minimize the impact on concrete, ice or snow should be removed
promptly and any excess deicer brushed away after the concrete has
been cleared. Damage to improperly constructed concrete typically
occurs due to expansive pressure during repeated freezing and
thawing cycles
PRECAUTIONS
Ice melting agents may be harmful when used excessively or
repeatedly on concrete surfaces. Particularly vulnerable are poorly
constructed porous concrete and mortar joints between brick or
flagstone. Ice melting agents are not design or intended to remove all
traces of ice or snow. Melting agents can be harmful to vegetation.
Keep them away from shrubs, trees, flower beds and grass.
