Evaporative Cooler - Transforms warm, dry air into moist, cool air during warmer months. See below for a detailed description about evaporative cooling. Humidifier - Helps release moisture to relieve chapping, dry air caused by heating and cold air during the winter months.
SET UP (CONTINUED) The QuiloTM QE1S should not be used in enclosed spaces. It must be kept level and there must be water in the water tank. Doors and windows should be opened to allow free air flow. The QuiloTM QE1S works best when placed near an open window, so that outside air is drawn into the unit, circulates in the room, then exits via the door. The maximum cooling effect is felt when a person is near the flow of air coming out of the unit.

Operating the unit on the Cool Mode setting with an empty tank may result in damage to the water pump. USE & OPERATION (CONTINUED) FUNCTION BUTTONS Power Connect the power adapter to the unit and to the electrical socket. Press the button to turn the unit on. The unit will start automatically at low speed. To turn the unit off, press the button again. Cool Press the button to select Cool mode. Please make sure the water tank is filled with water above the minimum level mark. Pressing the COOL indicator light on the display screen activates evaporative cooling.
USE & OPERATION (CONTINUED) REMOTE CONTROL Power Fan Speed Swing Cool Timer Quiet/ Turbo Mode : ON / OFF : Low / Medium / High / Auto : Controls the motion of the louvers : Evaporative cooling on/off : Controls the Timer function for automatic off : Quiet/ Turbo Mode Note: • The remote control requires a CR2032 (1 x 3V) coin type or equivalent battery for replacement. • Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote control and insert the battery inside.
USE & OPERATION (CONTINUED) FILLING WITH WATER & ICE (COOL MODE) CAUTION: Remove the power adapter and cord from the unit and the electrical outlet before emptying or refilling the water tank. Wait for 2 minutes before removing the Water Tank to allow any excess water in the Honeycomb Cooling Media to drip into the tank before removing it. Note: After removing the tank, water from the Honeycomb may continue to drip and collect in the tank compartment. Simply wipe dry with a clean, dry cloth.
USE & OPERATION (CONTINUED) LOW WATER ALARM The unit is equipped with a low water sensor. In Cooling Mode, when water in the tank is below the minimum level, you will hear a beeping sound and the indicator light will flash continuously. The unit will automatically pause evaporative cooling. Refill the water tank to deactivate the alarm in Cooling Mode. First switch OFF the unit and unplug from the electrical socket. Fill the water tank with water above the minimum water level mark.
USE & OPERATION (CONTINUED) CLEANING THE CARBON DUST FILTER AND HONEYCOMB COOLING MEDIA WARNING: Before cleaning the unit, switch the unit OFF and disconnect the power adapter from the unit and electrical socket. • The appliance is supplied with a Carbon Dust Filter* and Honeycomb Cooling Media. • The Carbon Dust Filter* and Honeycomb Cooling Media are located inside the Rear Grill. See Figure 1 for instructions on how to remove them from the unit for cleaning and maintenance.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES Below is a general guideline for maintenance and storage of your unit. WARNING: Always switch OFF the QE1S and unplug it from the electrical source before cleaning or maintenance. Cleaning At least once a week, drain the water tank completely and refill with fresh water. Doing this will greatly reduce mineral deposits and help to extend the life of the Honeycomb Cooling Media.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Customer Service Center: See the last page of the User Manual to find the contact details for the Customer Service Center for your area. PROBLEM No discharge of air. Not Cooling in Cool Mode / Unit is making noise. Excessive humidity in the room. Odors. POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Cord is not plugged in. Make sure power cord is plugged in and the switch is ON. Power is not ON. Turn the unit ON by pressing the power button on the control panel or remote control.

UTILISATION ET FONCTIONNEMENT (SUITE) REMPLISSAGE AVEC DE L'EAU ET DE LA GLACE (MODE REFROIDIR) ATTENTION : Enlever l'adaptateur de courant et le câble de l'appareil et de la prise électrique avant de vider ou de remplir de nouveau le réservoir d'eau. Attendre 2 minutes avant d'enlever le réservoir d'eau afin de permettre à tout excès d'eau présent dans le dispositif de refroidissement Honeycomb de s'écouler dans le réservoir.
UTILISATION ET FONCTIONNEMENT (SUITE) AVERTISSEUR DE BAS NIVEAU D’EAU L’appareil est muni d’un capteur de bas niveau d’eau. En mode Refroidissement, lorsque l’eau du réservoir n’atteint plus le niveau minimal, un bip se fait entendre et le symbole le voyant clignote automatiquement. Le refroidissement par évaporation cessera alors automatiquement. Remplir le réservoir d’eau pour désactiver l’avertisseur en mode REFROIDISSEMENT. Éteindre en premier lieu l’appareil et le débrancher de la prise électrique.
