Fall Management System
The Fall Management System provides restraint-free monitoring of a patient who may try to leave a bed or chair
without assistance. The Fall Management System can be configured to interface with the software along with your
facilitys nurse call system. An Assistance Required alarm is activated in response to a Fall Management System
alert when interfaced with the Series 6.0 Software.
The Sensor Pad of the Fall Management System is placed on a patients bed or chair and connected to
a Control Unit. If a patient removes his or her weight from the Sensor Pad, the Control Unit issues an
audible alert. Refer to the applicable Control Units manual for detailed information about using the
Fall Management System.
WARNING: The Fall Management System may not be suitable for patients who are
AT HIGH RISK FOR FALL.” Other monitoring measures may also be required.
The Fall Management System should not be a substitute for routine visual
monitoring protocol by caregiving personnel.
WARNING: Due to the possibility of strangulation, all cables should be routed away
from the patient’s throat. When securing the strap, take up any extra slack in the cord
that may become tangled with a patient’s bed or chair. Failure to do so may result in
patient injury. This device should not be used in the presence of flammable anesthetic
mixtures.
