3. As long as you are in an area covered by wireless service, the emergency call is placed.
2. To call the 9-1-1 emergency number normally or when your account is restricted:
1. Unlock the screen. For more information, see Lock and Unlock Your Screen.
2. Press the number keys on the keypad, Press 9-1-1.

3. Call the 9-1-1 emergency number viathe SOS key. Whenever your phone is locked or unlocked,
closed or opened. You are able to press and hold the SOS key for a few seconds, 9-1-1 is dialed
automatically.
i. Press and hold the SOS key until the vibration stops, meanwhile the prompt coming
outwill say,“Please open the flip phone”.You have to flip the phone if the phone
prompts you to do so.
ii. 9-1-1 is dialedautomatically without any other action.
iii. As long as you are in an area covered by wireless service, the emergency call is placed.
Enhanced 9-1-1 (E 9-1-1) Information
This phone features an embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) chip necessary for utilizing E9-1-1
emergency location services where available.
When you place an emergency 9-1-1 call, the GPS feature of your phone seeks information to
calculate your approximate location. Depending on several variables, including availability and access
to satellite signals, it may take 30 seconds or more to determine and report your approximate
location.
Important: Always report your location to the 9-1-1 operator when placing an emergency call. Some
designated emergency call takers, known as Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), may not be
equipped to receive GPS location information from your phone.
