Parameter  Possible Values / Remarks 
Description  Brief description of the alarm 
Severity  Indication of the effect level of the alarm: 
Event, Warning, Minor, Major, Critical 
State  Type of alarm: 
Off - No alarms or events in port 
Event - At least one alarm event (including state on, off events) since the last 
Alarms>Clear operation 
Major - At least one active major alarm since the last Alarms>Clear operation 
Minor - At least one active minor alarm since the last Alarms>Clear operation 
Mask/Invert  Indicates mask/invert staus of alarm 
Mask: No, No and Save, Yes, Yes and Save 
Inverted: Yes, No 
Counter  Number of times that this alarm occurred since either Megaplex startup or the last time 
the alarm list was cleared 
 [Save File…]  Saves alarms list in a file. In the Save dialog box the default file name is output.alr. You 
can change the filename. 
[Clear]  Clears all active alarms. Confirmation is not required. 
Displaying Active Bundle Alarms 
 
To display a list of active bundle alarms: 
•  From the Fault menu, select Alarms followed by Display and Bundles… 
The Bundle Active Alarms List appears. From this dialog box you can 
display all IP Bundle alarms or alarms for a specific bundle (selected from 
table).

To display all IP Bundle Alarms: 
•  Click <All Bundles…>. 
A dialog box appears listing all IP Bundle alarms.
