Adding a New Card 
The Add command allows you to program a new card configuration in an empty 
slot in the Edit Configuration mode. 
 
To add a new card to the configuration: 
1. In the Edit Configuration mode, click an empty slot. 
2. From the Configuration menu, select Add… 
The New Card dialog box appears containing the number of the selected 
slot and a list of all cards supported by the current Megaplex. 
3. From the New Card list, select the required card type. If necessary, drag the 
scroll bar to view other card names. 
Only certain combinations of cards are allowed. A warning message is displayed 
when the user attempts to add a card that will not work in conjunction with existing 
cards. 
ML (Main Link) cards work in conjunction with common logic cards. 
For MP 2100: 
Slots PS 1 and PS 2 can only contain PS cards. 
Slots CL 1 and CL 2 can only contain CL cards. 
Slots IO 1 to IO 12 can take all other types, including unknown. 
For MP 2104: 
Slot PS 1 can only contain a PS card. 
Slot CL 1 can only contain a CL card. 
Slots IO 1 to IO 5 can take all other types, including unknown. 
For each MUX, only one ACM card can be used. More than one ACM card will 
cause a sanity check error.  
4. Click <Set>. 
The selected card is added to all existing Edit Configurations. 
The card types supported by the Megaplex and which model supports them are 
listed in the following table. X indicates that the card is supported, -- indicates that 
the card is not supported.
