System requirements for the router
◆ The router must have a DHCP server.
◆ The DHCP server of the router must be activated.
Assigning IP addresses on the router
All the network devices (e.g. HomePilot®) connected to the router
in a network are assigned an IP address by the DHCP server of
the router. A specific IP address range is reserved for this on the
DHCP server.
If you want to assign a fixed address for the
HomePilot®, you must change the configuration of
the DHCP server on the router accordingly. Please
read the information provided in the instruction
manual for your router.
Alternatively, a fixed IP address can be assigned in
the user interface of the HomePilot®.
i
Logging on to and using a WLAN radio network.
The HomePilot® must initially be configured (e.g. log
on to a WLAN radio network) via the LAN network and
the user interface of the HomePilot®.
i
The WLAN settings of the HomePilot® are only
activated when the LAN connector is removed.
