TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Solution
The 6-in-One
does not operate
your device.
Try all of the codes listed for your
brand of device in the appropriate
“Manufacturer Codes” section (see
“Setting Up Your Remote Control”
on Page 7).
If this does not work, try searching
for your code (see “Searching for a
Code” on Page 48).
Make sure the device you are set-
ting up can be operated with an
infrared remote.
The 6-in-One is
not performing
commands prop-
erly.
Try all of the codes listed for your
brand of device in the appropriate
“Manufacturer Codes” section (see
“Setting Up Your Remote Control”
on Page 7). Many set-up codes may
allow some degree of operation.
However, only one set-up code will
work correctly with your device.
VCR not record-
ing.
As a safety feature on the 6-in-One,
you must press
REC
twice to begin
recording.
CH +/–
and
LAST
not working for
your RCA TV.
Due to RCA design (1983–1987),
only the original remote will operate
these functions.
Problems chang-
ing channels.
If your original remote required an
ENTER keystroke when changing
channels, press
ENTER
on the 6-in-
One after you enter the channel
number.
The red light
blinks when you
press a key but
you receive no
response from
your device.
Press the appropriate device key

CBL/SAT

VCR

AUX 1

,
PLUG ’N POWER
) for the
device you are trying to operate.
Make sure you aim your 6-in-One at
your device and that you are within
15 feet of the device before using
your remote.
