1. Insert the supplied AC adapter's barrel plug into the trans-
mitter's
DC9V
jack.
Caution:
You must use a Class 2 power source that
supplies 9 volts DC and delivers at least 100 mA. Its
center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit
the monitor's
DC9V
jack. The supplied adapter meets these
specifications. Using an adapter that does not meet these spec-
ifications could damage the monitor or the adapter.
2. Plug the adapter's AC plug into a standard AC outlet.
Unplug the adapter if you will not use the transmitter for an ex-
tended period of time.
Caution:
To prevent a possible short circuit, always unplug the
adapter from the outlet first, then unplug it from the transmitter.
POWERING THE RECEIVER
You can power the receiver using AC power (with the supplied
AC adapter) or a 9-volt alkaline battery (not supplied). For the
longest operation and best performance, we recommend you
use RadioShack alkaline batteries.
