Troubleshooting guide

To clean the
playing side of a
CD of finger
prints and other
dirty marks gently
wipe the CD with a
soft lint free cloth
from the centre of the
CD outwards.
Hold CD so that
you do not
touch the
playing side
(the side with
no label or
printing on
it).
When you have finished playing a
CD, remove it from the CD player and
store it in its protective case.
Never use a CD if it
is cracked, deformed
or has been
repaired with tape
or adhesive.

System does
not turn on.
System is on
but no sound.
A CD is in place
but will not
play.
CD skips.
None of the
controls will
work
Batteries may
need charging.
VOLUME control
is at “minimum”
position.
CD is inserted
incorrectly.
CD is dirty.
The system is
subject to
vibration.
The HOLD switch
is in the ON
position
Recharge the batteries
Adjust the VOLUME control to a higher
sound level.
Make sure the CD is inserted with the
printed side facing outwards.
Clean the CD as described. Do not
attempt to play a CD which is damaged.
Place the system in a more secure place.
Vibration or jarring will cause the CD to
skip
Switch the HOLD function to OFF.
