OSUs(OutdoorSynchronizationUnit),encasedinasimilarformfactorastheTBSs,are
outdoordevicesthatreceiveaGPSclocksignalanddistributesthisoverthewaysidenetwork.
TheOSUsareconnectedtooneofthewaysidenetworkswitches.IfthereisaGPSfailure,the
OSUsactasanISUandprovidetheinternalclocktotheTBSs.
