1. Before removing old timer A. CHECK WiFi SIGNAL RECORD CURRENT WATERING TIMES With your phone, check WiFi signal strength of your timer’s location. RESET 24VAC SENS 5 6 7 8 ACCESSORY CONNECT 120 VAC If hard wiring for AC power, remove knockout for conduit. For installation in drywall, use drywall anchors (included in package).
3. Connect zone wires A. CONNECT COLORED ZONE WIRES B. CONNECT THE WHITE COMMON WIRE from each ZONE valve to the corresponding ZONE number on the timer terminal block. 4. Connect power wires INDOOR TIMER OUTDOOR TIMER Route the transformer power cord through the conduit opening at the bottom of the unit. If you are hard wiring AC power, open power supply box. Remove WiFi module and existing power cord. Connect the two end wires on the power cord to the two 24VAC terminal connections on the timer. RESET Route new wires and attach with wire nuts. Reinstall power supply box lid and WiFi Module.
5. After timer is mounted & wired INSERT BATTERIES IN TIMER DOWNLOAD APP TO BEGIN WiFi SETUP Search and download the free “Rain Bird Mobile App”. ne Do 0% M 1P 4:2 ish t ird it Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. 6. Activate hotspot VERIFY WiFi MODULE IS READY TO CONNECT Wait 10 seconds after turning on. If the module is alternating blinking green and red, proceed to next step. If blinking red only, press button on the WiFi module to broadcast WiFi signal.
7. Complete app setup LAUNCH THE RAIN BIRD MOBILE APP Follow the App Setup Wizard to enter information about your yard and create an initial watering schedule. As a final setup, use the app’s “Water Now” function to test all zones.
