STEP 4
Attach fairlead (supplied with winch) to capscrews (item #12) installed earlier using (2) lockwashers and nuts (items
#16, 20). TIGHTEN HARDWARE COMPLETELY.
Secure vehicle tie down brackets using (2 each side) 1/2” x 1 1/2” long capscrews, lockwashers, and nuts (items
#9, 17, 22) to bracket assembly (item #1).
Install factory grille guard to mounting channel using (2 each side) 1/2” x 3/4” long capscrews (item #10) into the
threaded holes in the channel as shown below. TIGHTEN HARDWARE COMPLETELY.
Refer to winch owner’s manual for electrical connections.
Route red battery cable from solenoid assembly of winch to vehicle battery. Connect red cable to positive (+) termi-
nal of battery. Route black battery cable from winch assembly up to vehicle battery. Connect black cable to negative
(-) terminal of battery. BE SURE BATTERY CABLES ARE NOT DRAWN TAUT ACROSS ANY SURFACES WHICH
COULD POSSIBLY DAMAGE IT.
Plug remote switch (furnished with winch) into receptacle on winch. Engage clutch and run winch forward and
reverse to check connections. Snap appropriate “IN” and “OUT” disc into proper thumb button cavity, after determin-
ing winch operation directions. Do not leave remote switch plugged in when winch is not in use.
Install cable to the winch according to instructions in the winch owner’s manual.
