DESCRIPTION
Rapid Set
®
Concrete Leveler
™
Primer (CLP) is a
concentrated, solvent-free acrylic primer that
improves the adhesion of Rapid Set
®
Concrete
Leveler
™
to properly prepared concrete. CLP
also acts to seal porous concrete surfaces to
prevent pinholes and bubbles from forming in
the nished surface.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
CLP is for use on properly prepared dry and
porous concrete surfaces only. Substrate
must be clean, sound, and free of oil, curing
compounds, dust, mastic and other bond
breakers. Mechanically prole surface by shot
blasting or grinding. Acid etching the concrete
surface is not recommended.
MIXING
Shake well to ensure primer is thoroughly mixed
and there is no sediment in container bottom.
Mix at low speed with a drill and Jifer-type
mixing paddle.
PLACEMENT
Apply primer to substrate and work into the
concrete surface with a stiff-bristle push broom.
Spread evenly to thoroughly coat surface and
avoid any puddling. Maintain materials, surface,
and ambient temperatures above 50°F (10°C).
For excessively porous or absorbent concrete
surfaces, double prime the surface with an initial
application of diluted primer at a ratio of 1-part
water to 1-part primer. Wait 3 hours, then prime
normally as above.
Let primed surface dry to a tacky, transparent thin
lm (min. 3 hrs, max. 24 hrs). Lower temperatures
and/or higher humidity will extend required
minimum drying time. When primer is dry, apply
Concrete Leveler according to instructions on bag.
COVERAGE & PACKAGING
CLP is available in 1-quart bottles and 1-gallon
jugs. Coverage is about 50–100 ft
2
per quart or 200
– 400 ft
2
per gallon. Shelf life: 12 months if kept in
a cool environment, out of direct sunlight. Do not
allow material to freeze.

WARNING: AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES AND
SKIN. Close container after each use. Do not reuse
container. Dispose of container and primer residue
in accordance with federal, state and local waste
disposal regulations. Do not ush primer down
drains, sewers or waterways. Carefully read and
follow all cautions and warnings on product label.

cool, clean water for 15 minutes with eyes open. If
irritation persists, consult a physician. If material
comes in contact with skin, wash thoroughly
with soap and water. If irritation persists, consult
a physician. Always use in a well-ventilated
area. Avoid inhalation. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN. CLP is non-toxic, non-explosive and
non-ammable.
PROPOSITION 65 WARNING: This product con-
tains chemicals known to the State of California to
cause cancer and birth defects or other reproduc-
tive harm.

LIMITED WARRANTY: CTS CEMENT MANUFAC-
TURING CORP. (CTS) warrants its materials to be
of good quality and at its option, within one year
from date of sale, will replace material proven de-
fective or refund purchase price thereof, and such
replacement or refund shall be the limit of CTS’s
responsibility. Except for the foregoing, all warran-
ties expressed or implied, including merchantabil-
ity and tness for a particular purpose, are exclud-
ed. CTS shall not be liable for any consequential,
incidental, or special damages arising directly or
