MATERIALS
1. INSULATION SLEEVE: Heat-shrinkable, radiation cross-linked modified polyolefin. Color: transparent clear.
2. SOLDER PREFORM WITH FLUX:
SOLDER: TYPE Cd18 per ANSI/J-STD-006.
FLUX: TYPE ROM1 per ANSI/J-STD-004.
3. MELTABLE SEALING RING: Thermally stabilized thermoplastic. Color: blue (size 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11); natural (size 13)
4. MELTABLE SEALING RING: Thermally stabilized thermoplastic. Color: blue (size 3, 5, 7, 11); gray (size 6); natural (size 9,
13)
APPLICATION
1. These controlled soldering devices are designed for termination of a bare or tin-plated copper shield on a cable having an
insulation rated for at least +85°C, meeting the dimensional criteria listed in the table above.
2. Temperature range: -55°C to +125°C.
3. When installed properly, it will meet the requirements of Tyco Electronics / Raychem Specification RT-1404.
4. For installation procedure and application equipment consult Tyco Electronics / Raychem document RPIP-824-00.
