Theinstallationlocationmusttakeintoaccountthe
followingrequirements:
Theunitcanbeinstalledaboveorbelowdecks.
Theunitmustbemountedonahorizontaland
levelsurface.Theunitmaybemounteduprightor
upside-down,buttheunitmustbelevelwithin
ofpitchandofroll(comparedwiththevessel’s
neutralpositionwhenatrestandnormallyloaded).

2.Pitch
Theunitcanbemountedonaverticalsurface
suchasabulkheadormastetc,usingthesupplied
bracket.
Theunitlocationmustbeatleast1m(3ft.)away
fromanysourceofmagneticinterference,suchas
compassesandelectricalcables.
Choosealocationwheretheunitwillbesafefrom
physicaldamageandexcessivevibration.
Choosealocationwheretheunitwillnotbe
subjectedtoaloadorforce.
Mountawayfromanysourceofheatorpotential
ammablehazards,suchasfuelvapor.
Theunitshouldbemountedinalocationwhere
thediagnosticsLEDisviewable.
TheunitmustbemountedwiththeLED‘arrow’on
thetopoftheunitpointingtowardsthevessel’s
bowandmustbeinparallelalignmentwiththe
longitudinalaxis(centerline)ofthevessel.
