Theinstallationlocationmusttakeintoaccountthe
followingrequirements:
•Theunitcanbeinstalledaboveorbelowdecks.
•Theunitmustbemountedonahorizontaland
levelsurface.Theunitmaybemounteduprightor
upside-down,buttheunitmustbelevelwithin5º
ofpitchand5ºofroll(comparedwiththevessel’s
neutralpositionwhenatrestandnormallyloaded).

•Theunitcanbemountedonaverticalsurface
suchasabulkheadormastetc,usingthesupplied
bracket.
•Theunitlocationmustbeatleast1m(3ft.)away
fromanysourceofmagneticinterference,suchas
compassesandelectricalcables.
•Choosealocationwheretheunitwillbesafefrom
physicaldamageandexcessivevibration.
•Choosealocationwheretheunitwillnotbe
subjectedtoaloadorforce.
•Mountawayfromanysourceofheatorpotential
ammablehazards,suchasfuelvapor.
•Theunitshouldbemountedinalocationwhere
thediagnosticsLEDisviewable.
•TheunitmustbemountedwiththeLED‘arrow’on
thetopoftheunitpointingtowardsthevessel’s
bowandmustbeinparallelalignmentwiththe
longitudinalaxis(centerline)ofthevessel.
