Grounding—Dedicateddrainwire
required
Thisproductincludesadedicateddrainconductor
(screen)forconnectiontoavessel'sRFground

ItisimportantthataneffectiveRFgroundis
connectedtotheunit.Theunitcanbegrounded
byconnectingthedrainconductor(screen)tothe
vessel'sRFgroundpoint.Onvesselswithoutan
RFgroundsystemthedrainconductor(screen)
shouldbeconnecteddirectlytothenegativebattery
terminal.
Thedcpowersystemshouldbeeither:
•Negativegrounded,withthenegativebattery

•Floating,withneitherbatteryterminalconnected
tothevessel'sground.
Ifseveralitemsrequiregrounding,theymayrst

aswitchpanel),withthispointconnectedviaa
single,appropriately-ratedconductor,tothevessel’s
commonRFgroundpoint.
