Implementationdirectconnectiontobattery
Theunitmaybeconnecteddirectlytothevessel's
battery,viaasuitablyratedfuseorbreaker.
IftheunitdoesnotrequireaseparateRFGround
(drain)connection,onlythepowercable’sredand
blackwiresneedtobeconnected.
YouMUSTtasuitablyratedfuseorbreaker
betweentheredwireandthebattery’spositive
terminal.

withacommonRFgroundpoint.Inthisscenario,if
yourproductrequiresaseparateRFGround(drain)
connectionthenitshouldbeconnectedtothevessel’s

thevessel’sprimarypowersourceby8AWG

Ideally,allequipmentshouldbewiredtoindividual
suitably-ratedthermalbreakersorfuses,with
appropriatecircuitprotection.Wherethisisnot
possibleandmorethan1itemofequipment
sharesabreaker,useindividualin-linefuses
foreachpowercircuittoprovidethenecessary
protection.
Inallcases,observetherecommended
breaker/fuseratingsprovidedintheproduct’s
documentation.
