SeaTalkng®powerswitch(ACU-200,ACU-300,

TheACU-200,ACU-300,ACU-400canprovide
powertotheSeaTalkng®backbone.Thiswill
providepowertocertainequipmentconnectedtothe
backbone(e.g.SeaTalkng®autopilotcontrolhead
andinstrumentdisplays).
SettheSeaTalkng®powerswitchontheconnector
paneltotheappropriateposition:
ONTheACU-200,ACU-300,ACU-400will
supplypowertotheSeaTalkng®backbone.
ImportantEnsurethattherearenoother
powerfeedsconnectedintothebackbone.
OFFTheACU-200,ACU-300,ACU-400will
NOTsupplypowertotheSeaT alkng®backbone.
Ensurethatthereisaseparatepowerfeedtothe
SeaTalkng®backbone.
Important:
Usecorrectfuse.Thefusesupplyingthe
SeaTalkng®systemMUSTberatedasperthe
valueshownontheACUconnectorpanel.
SleepswitchconnectionACU-200,
ACU-300,ACU-400
ASleepswitchdisablestheoperationofthe
autopilotwhileretaininganypowersuppliedtothe
SeaTalkng®backbone.
Theswitchandassociatedcablearenotsupplied
withtheEvolutionsystem.Contactyourdealeror
drivemanufacturerformoreinformation.
Rudderreferenceconnection
Arudderreferencesensorunitcanbeconnectedto
theACUtoproviderudderangleinformationtothe
autopilotsystem.
Theconnectionofarudderreferenceunitishighly
recommended,tohelpensureoptimumautopilot
performance.
Note:Arudderreferencesensorisnotincluded
withallautopilotproductsorsystempacks.

forafulllistofthecomponentsincludedwithyour

Arudderreferenceunitconvertsitsmovement
informationtorudderanglein+/-degrees.
Certainenvironmentalconditionssuchas
cross-currentcancausetheautopilotsystemto
steerpersistentlytoportorstarboard,evenwhen
therudderiscentered.Witharudderreferenceunit
connectedtoyourautopilotsystem,youcanusean
autopilotcontrolheadtospecifyanoffsetanglein+/-
degreestocompensateforinaccuraterudderangle
informationcausedbysuchconditions.
Themoreaccuratetherudderangleinformation,the
moreaccuratelytheautopilotsystemcankeeptoa
correctcourse.
