5.2ACUInstallation
MountingtheACU-100,ACU-150
Ensurethatthechosenlocationmeetstheproduct’s
locationrequirements,see3.8Selectingalocation
fordetails.
Important:
Theinstallationmustonlybeperformedwith
thevesseleitheronahardstanding,ortied-up
alongsideapontoonorberth.
1.Usinganappropriatescrewdriver,undothe
screwslocatedonthetopcoverandremovethe
topcoverfromtheACU.
Oncethecoverisremoved,theunit’smounting
holesareaccessible.
2.MounttheACUinanappropriatelocationand
securetothemountingsurfaceusingthesupplied
screws.
Youshouldalsomounttheautopilotcontrolhead
andrudderreferenceunit(ifappropriate)atthis
time.
3.Toaccessthescrewterminalsforconnectingthe
cablestotheACU,removethescrewterminal
connectorsfromthesockets,asshowninthe
followingillustration:
4.InserttherelevantwiresfromtheSeaTalk
ng
spurcableintotheSeaTalk
ng
screwterminals,
asshownintheillustrationabove.Tighten
thescrewstosecurethewires.Repeatforall
requiredconnections.
5.Pushthescrewterminalsbackintotheconnector
panel,ensuringatightconnection.
6.Routethecablesthroughthecableguides
locatedonthelowerlipoftheunit.
Raymarinerecommendsthatyouusecableties
tosecurethecablestotheunit.
7.Onceallconnectionsaremadeandthecables
correctlyroutedintheguides,replacetheACU
cover,ensuringatighttbetweenthecover’s
rubbersealandthecables.
8.Usingthesuppliedscrews,securethecoverto
theunit,ensuringthattheclipsarealignedand
secured(alongwithanaudibleclick):
