Implementation—directconnectiontobattery
•Thepowercablesuppliedwithyourproductmaybeconnecteddirectlytothevessel'sbattery,
viaasuitablyratedfuseorbreaker.
•ThepowercablesuppliedwithyourproductmayNOTincludeaseparatedrainwire.Ifthisisthe
case,onlythepowercable’sredandblackwiresneedtobeconnected.
•IfthesuppliedpowercableisNOTfittedwithaninlinefuse,youMUSTfitasuitablyratedfuseor
breakerbetweentheredwireandthebattery’spositiveterminal.
•Refertotheinlinefuseratingsprovidedintheproduct’sdocumentation.
•Ifyouneedtoextendthelengthofthepowercablesuppliedwithyourproduct,ensureyou
observethededicated
Power cable extensions adviceprovidedintheproduct’sdocumentation.

thisscenario,ifyourproduct’spowercableissuppliedwithaseparatedrainwirethenit
shouldbeconnectedtothevessel’scommongroundpoint.

BatteryconnectionscenarioB:suitableforavesselwithoutacommongroundingpoint.In
thiscase,ifyourproduct’spowercableissuppliedwithaseparatedrainwirethenitshould
beconnecteddirectlytothebattery’snegativeterminal.
