5.2Productcleaning
Bestcleaningpractices.
Whencleaningproducts:
•Lightlyrinseorflushwithclean,coolfreshwater.
•Ifyourproducthasadisplayscreen,doNOTwipethescreenwithadrycloth,asthiscould
scratchthescreencoating.
•DoNOTuse:abrasive,acidic,ammonia,solventofchemicalbasedcleaningproducts.
•DoNOTuseajetwash.
Cleaningthedisplaycase
Thedisplayunitisasealedunitanddoesnotrequireregularcleaning.Ifitisnecessarytoclean
theunit,followthisbasicprocedure:
1.Switchoffthepowertothedisplay.
2.Wipethedisplaywithaclean,softcloth(amicrofibreclothisideal).
3.Ifnecessary,useamilddetergenttoremovegreasemarks.
Note:DoNOTusesolventsordetergentsonthescreenitself.
Note:Incertainconditions,condensationmayappearinsidethedisplayscreen.Thiswillnotharm
theunit,andcanbeclearedbypoweringonthedisplayforashorttime.
Cleaningthedisplayscreen
Acoatingisappliedtothedisplayscreen.Thismakesitwaterrepellent,andpreventsglare.T oavoid
damagingthiscoating,followthisprocedure:
1.Switchoffthepowertothedisplay.
2.Rinsethescreenwithfreshwatertoremovealldirtparticlesandsaltdeposits.
3.Allowthescreentodrynaturally.
4.Ifanysmearsremain,verygentlywipethescreenwithacleanmicrofibrecleaningcloth(available
fromanopticians).
Cleaningthesuncover
Thesuppliedsuncoverfeaturesanadhesivesurface.Incertainconditionsunwantedcontaminants
maysticktothissurface.T oavoiddamagingthemonitordisplay,cleanthesuncoverregularly
followingthisprocedure:
1.Carefullyremovethesuncoverfromthedisplay.
2.Rinsethesuncoverwithfreshwatertoremovealldirtparticlesandsaltdeposits.
3.Allowthesuncovertodrynaturally.
