Thermalcamerasurveillancemode
Insurveillancemodethecamerapansleftandright
continuously.
Thecameracontinuestopanuntilsurveillancemode
isdisabled,orthecameracontrolsareusedtomove
thecamera.Whenthisoccursthecameradoesnot
automaticallyresumesurveillancemodeandthe
modemustbeenabledagainifrequired.

Surveillancemodesettings

Thescanwidthdeterminesthedistancethatthe
camerapansleftandrightwheninsurveillance
mode.
ScanSpeed
Thescanspeeddeterminesthespeedatwhich
thecamerapansleftandrightwheninsurveillance
mode.
Settingscanwidth
Thesurveillancemodescanwidthcanbeadjusted
byfollowingthestepsbelow.
Fromthethermalcameraapplication:

3.SelectSurveillanceSettings.
4.SelectScanWidth.
Thescanwidthoptionswillbedisplayed:
NarrowThecamerawillscanapproximately
20ºleftandrightofthecenter(40ºtotal).
MediumThecamerawillscanapproximately
40ºleftandrightofthecenter(80ºtotal).
WideThecamerawillscanapproximately
80ºleftandrightofthecenter(160ºtotal).
5.Selecttherequiredoption.

camerasincludesamechanicalstabilizationfeature.
Themechanicalstabilizationfeatureimprovesimage
stabilitybycompensatingforvesselmotionand
keepingthecameraaimedatthepointofinterest.
Mechanicalstabilizationhastwoaspects:horizontal
(azimuth)andvertical(elevation).Bydefault,
mechanicalstabilizationissettoon,whichprovides
thebeston-the-waterperformanceparticularlywhen
thevesselisunderwayandtravelingonrough
waterorinswellconditions.Youcandisableor
enablestabilizationwheneveryouwant.Whenyou
enablefullstabilization(horizontalandvertical),the
StabilizationOn(nowave)iconashes.Itdoes
notdisplaycontinually,sincethisisthenormal
modeofoperation.Ifyoudisablestabilization,the
StabilizationOff(wave)iconremainsonthescreen
tomakeyouawarethatthemotionofthevesselcan
affectthecameraperformance.Thisisnotanormal
modeofoperation.Stabilizationisautomatically
turnedoffwhenthecameraisstowed,butthe
systemrestoresyoursettingwhenthecamerais
poweredon.Youcanturnoffthehorizontal(pan)
stabilizationwhileretainingthetiltstabilizationby
enablingpointmode.
Enabling/Disablingstabilization
Stabilizationisenabledbydefault.Youcanenable
ordisablestabilizationatanytimebyfollowingthe
stepsbelow.

SelectingStabilizationmodeswitches
stabilizationOnandOff.
Thermalcamerapointmode
Pointmodeisonlyapplicabletothermalcameras
whichhavemechanicalstabilization.
Enablingpointmodeonlyhassignicancewhen
stabilizationisenabled.Enablingpointmodeturns
offthehorizontal(pan)stabilizationwhileretaining
thevertical(tilt)stabilization.Thiscanbehelpful
whenyouwanttousethethermalcameraasanaide
tonavigationandkeepthecamerapointinginthe
samepositionrelativetothevesselasitturns.For
example,youmayhavestabilizationenabledand
havesetthecameratopointstraightaheadrelative
tothefrontofthevessel.Ifthevesselisturnedat
asharpangleundertheseconditions,thecamera
sensorwillnotfollowthedirectionofthevessel.
Enablingpointmodekeepsthecamerainsync
withthevesseldirectionwhilemaintainingastable
elevationposition.Whenpointmodeisenabled,a
