1.Ensureanappropriatelocationforthetransducer
hasbeenselectedfollowingtheguidelines
provide.
2.Drillapilotholeinthecenteroftheselected
locationforthethreadedtube.
3.Drilltheholeoutusingasuitablesizeholecutter.
4.Usingsandpaperand/oraleensurethereare
noroughedgesorburrs.
5.Ensureallsurfacesarecleanandfreefrom
debris.
6.Applyathickbeadofmarinegradeadhesive
sealantallaroundthetopfaceofthetransducer,
whereitwillmeetthehull.
7.Applyathickbeadofmarinegradeadhesive
sealantupeachsideofthethreadedtube,
ensuringthatthesealantwillprotrude
approximately6mmabovethenaltightened
nut.
8.Applyathickbeadofmarinegradeadhesive
sealantallaroundtheedgesoftheholeinthe
hull.
9.Guidethetransducercableandthreadedtube
upthroughthevessel’shullandensurethe
transducerisparallelwiththecenterline.
10.Applyathickbeadofmarinegradeadhesive
sealantallaroundthetopandbottomfacesof
thedeadriseblock.
11.Withapersoninsidethevessel,placethedead
riseblockoverthethreadedtube.
