Compasssafedistance
Topreventpotentialinterferencewiththevessel's
magneticcompasses,ensureanadequatedistance
ismaintainedfromthedisplay.
Whenchoosingasuitablelocationforthe
multifunctiondisplayyoushouldaimtomaintainthe
maximumpossibledistancebetweenthedisplayand
anycompasses.Typicallythisdistanceshouldbeat
least1m(3ft)inalldirections.Howeverforsome
smallervesselsitmaynotbepossibletolocate
thedisplaythisfarawayfromacompass.Inthis
situation,thefollowingguresprovidetheminimum
safedistancethatshouldbemaintainedbetweenthe
displayandanycompasses.
