Atrackisanon-screentrailthatshowsthepassageyouhavetaken.
Thistrailismadeupofaseriesoftrackpointswhicharecreated
automatically.Youcansavethetracktocreateapermanentrecord
ofwhereyouhavebeen

Withtracksyoucan:
•Reviewwhereyouhavebeen.
•Createaroutefromatrack.
Creatingatrack
Fromthechartapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectNavigate.
3.SelectCreateTrack.
Thecreatetrackpopupmessageisdisplayed.
4.SelectOk.
Asyounavigateyourvessel,yourjourneyisautomatically
recordedasatrack.
Note:Ifthepowerfailswhilstatrackisbeingrecordedorthe
positionxislost,abreakwilloccurinthetrack.Onlythelast
segmentofatrackcanbeconvertedintoaroute.
Note:Ifthemaximumnumberoftrackingpointsisreached,you
willbewarned.Thetrackwillcontinuetoberecordedwiththe
earliertrackingpointsbeingoverwritten.
5.T ocompleteyourtrackselectStopTrackfromtheNavigate
menu:Menu>Navigate>StopTrack.
Thetrackstoppedpopupmessageisdisplayed.
6.SelectSave,EraseorCancel.
•Save—WillsavethetrackandopentheEdittrackProperties
dialogwhereyoucannamethetrackandchooseacolorfor
thetrackline.
•Erase—Willerasethetrack.
•Cancel—WillcanceltheStopTrackaction.
Trackinterval
Thetrackintervalspeciesthetimeperiodordistancebetween
thepointsinatrack.
Youcanadjusttheintervalbetweenpointswhichcanhelpensure
bestuseoftheavailablestorage.
ThesettingsareavailablefromtheMyDatamenu:
•RecordTrackBy—speciestheintervaltype(Auto/Time/
Distance).
•TrackInterval—speciestheintervalvalue(e.g.15minutes).
Forexamplewhencreatingatrackforalongjourney,aninterval
settoAutocouldresultinrapiduseofallofthestorageavailable
fortrackpoints.InthiscaseselectingahighervaluefortheTrack
Intervalwouldprovidecapacityforalongertrack.
Settingthetrackinterval
Fromthechartapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectMyData.
3.SelectTrackSet-up.
4.SelectRecordTrackByandsettotheappropriatevalue:
•Auto—Thetrackintervalisautomaticallyset(Autowill
minimizetrackpointswhilstmaintainingcorrelationbetween
thetrackandtheactualpathfollowed).
•Time—Thetrackpointsareplacedatregularintervalsoftime.
•Distance—Thetrackpointsareplacedatregularintervalsof
distance.
5.SelecttheTrackIntervalandsettotheappropriatevalue:
•Unitsoftimefromthelistdisplayed(availableif“recordtrack
by”issettotime).
•Unitsofdistancefromthelistdisplayed(availableif“record
trackby”issettodistance).
•Notavailable—noTrackIntervalisavailableifthe“record
trackby”issettoauto).

Selectingatrackinthechartapplicationdisplaysacontextmenu
showingthetracklength,numberofpointsandmenuitems.
Thecontextmenuprovidesthefollowingmenuitems:
•StopGoto(onlyavailableduringactivenavigation.)
•EraseTrack
•HideTrack
•CreateRouteFrom
•Rename
•EditColor
•AcquireTarget(onlyavailableifRadaroverlayisswitchedon.)
Whencreatingatrackthecontextmenuoptionschangeto:
•StopGoto(onlyavailableduringactivenavigation.)
•StopTrack
•EraseRoute—Disabled
•CreateRouteFrom
•Rename
•EditColor
•AcquireTarget(onlyavailableifRadaroverlayisswitchedon.)
