ThesafezoneringsharesitscongurationwiththeRadar
applicationssafezonering,howevercanbedisplayed
independentlyofthesafezoneringintheRadarapplication.
IfaMARPAorAIStargetwillreachthesafezoneringwithinthe
timetosafezoneselectedanalarmissounded.
EnablingSafeZones

Set-up
FromtheradarapplicationgotoMenu>TrackTargets>Safe
ZoneSet-up
1.SelectSafeZoneRingsothatShowishighlighted.
SelectingSafeZoneRingwillswitchthezoneringfromhidden
tovisible.
2.SelectSafeZoneRadius.
i.Selecttherequiredradiusforthesafezone.
3.SelectTimetoSafeZone.
i.Selecttherequiredtimeperiod.
4.SelectAISAlarmsothatOnishighlighted.
SelectingAISAlarmwillswitchthedangeroustargetalarm
betweenOnandOff.
3DDisplayOptions
Thefollowingoptionsareavailablewiththechartapplicationin3D
view:
•CentreOfView—Switchesacrosshaironandoffatthecentre
ofthescreenatsealevel.
•Exaggeration—Adjustingtheexaggerationhastheeffectof
verticallystretchingobjectsonthechart,makingiteasiertosee
theirshapeandposition.
•TransducerCone—Switchesonandoffatransducercone
indicatingthecoverageofashndertransducer.
•DepthScale—Switchesonandoffadepthscaleatyourvessel
position.

8.SelectOktoconrmsettingandclosethenumericadjustcontrol.

InadditiontonormalnavigationchartsFishmodeprovides
bathymetriccontourdataonthechartforuseduringshing.
Beforeyoucandisplaybathymetricdatainthechartapplicationyou
musthavechartcardswiththerelevantlevelofdetail.
Whenyouchangethe2DChartUsetotheFishoption,bathymetric
dataisshownonthechart(providingthatthechartcardcontains
bathymetricdataforthatparticularlocation).Certainchartdetailis
alsoremovedtoensurethebathymetricdatacanbeseenclearly
onthechartdisplay.
IfthechartcarddoesNOTcontainbathymetricdatathechart
revertstothedefaultNAV(navigation)data.
Note:Fishmodeisnotsuitablefornavigation.

Multiplechartsynchronization
Youcansynchronizetheheading,range,andpositioninformation
acrossmultiplechartviewsandnetworkeddisplays.
Whenchartsynchronizationisenabled:
•Itisindicatedby“CHRTSync”inthechartapplicationtitlebar.
•Anychangesmadetotheheading,rangeorpositioninanychart
instancewillbereectedinallotherchartinstances.
Note:Whenthe2Dand3Dchartviewsaresynchronized,the
MotionModeisalwaysRelativeMotion.
