Highcoastlinesandmountainouscoastalregionscanbeobserved
atlongerradarranges.Therefore,therstsightoflandmaybea
mountainseveralmilesinlandfromthecoastline.Althoughthe
coastlinemaybemuchnearer,itmaynotappearontheradar
untilthevesselisclosertoshore.
Sometargets,suchasbuoysandsmallvesselsdifculttodiscern,
becausetheydonotpresentaconsistentreectingsurfaceas
theybobandtossaboutinthewaves.Consequentlytheseechoes
tendtofadeandbrighten,andattimesdisappearmomentarily.
Buoysandsmallvesselsresembleeachother,butvesselscan
oftenbedistinguishedbytheirmotion.

TheDualRangeradarfunctionenablesyoutoview2rangesat
thesametimeinseparatewindows.Thefunctionisavailablewith
SuperHDandHDradarscanners.
UsingyourmultifunctiondisplayandanHDorSuperHDradar
scanner,youcanvieweitherashortoralongrangeimagein
separateradarwindows.
ThedefaultsettingisLong,whichprovidesastandardscanner
range.
Limitations
DualRangeoperationisnotavailableifMARPAtargetsareactive.
YoucannotacquireMARPAtargetsifDualRangeisenabled.
Radar/chartsyncandradar/chartoverlayaretemporarilydisabled
whenDualRangeisenabled.
Dualrangeradarcompatibility
