Avectorisalineon-screenshowingthepredictedcoursesofyour
vesselandtheselectedtargetifyoubothremainonyourpresent
course.Thesevectorsvaryinlengthduetovesselspeedandvector
lengthsetintheMARPASet-upmenu.

Truemotion
Withthedisplaysetintruemotionmode,thevectorsofyourvessel
andthetargetareshownextendedtotheirintersectionpoint.The
CPAisshownasalinethatisplacedonyourvessel’svectorat
thepointoftheCPA.Thelengthanddirectionofthelineindicates
thedistanceandbearingofthetargetatCPA.Thetextindicates
CPAandTCPA.Thetextnexttothetargetsymbolindicatesitstrue
courseandspeed.
Relativemotion
Withthedisplaysetinrelativemotionmode,novectorextensionof
yourvesselisshown.TheCPAlineemergesfromyourownvessel,
withthetargetvectorextensionbeingshownasrelative,nottrue.
Thetextnexttothetargetindicatesitscourseandspeed.

1.Selectthetarget.
TheMARPAcontextmenuisdisplayedwhichprovidesthe
followingdata:
•ClosestPointofApproach(CPA).
•TimetoClosestPointofApproach(TCPA).
•COG(ifavailable).
•SOG(ifavailable).

menu:
i.SelectAutotodisplaytheCPAgraphicwhenthetargetis
selected.
ii.SelectOntodisplaytheCPAgraphicwhilethetargetis
beingtracked.
