todecreasevalueorRighttoincreasevalue.

theAutogainmode:
•Cruising

•Fishing
Fishndercolorgain
Youcanadjustthecolorgaintochangethesignalstrengththreshold
forthestrongestcolorinyourshnderdisplay.
Colorgainsetsthelowerlimitforthestrongestechocolor.All
echoeswithasignalstrengthabovethisvaluearedisplayedinthe
strongestcolor.Thosewithaweakervaluearedividedequally
betweentheremainingcolors.
•Settingalowvalueproduceswidebandfortheweakestcolor,but
asmallsignalbandfortheothercolors.
•Settingahighvaluegivesawidebandforthestrongestcolor,but
asmallsignalbandfortheothercolors.
Therearetwocolorgainmodes:
•Auto—InAutomodethecolorgainsettingisautomatically
adjustedtosuitcurrentconditions.Anyadjustmentsmadeapply
toallshnderwindows.
•Manual—Youcansetthecolorgainmanually,betweenavalue
of0%to100%.
Adjustingtheshndercolorgain
Fromtheshnderapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectSensitivitysettings.
3.SelectColorGain.
Thecolorgainsliderbarcontrolisdisplayed.
4.Adjustthecontroltotherequiredvalue.
5.SelectBacktoconrmsettingandclosesliderbar,or
6.SelectAutotoenableautomaticcolorgain.
Thenewvaluesremainsetevenwhenyouswitchoffthedisplay
andareappliedtoallshnderwindows.
FishnderTVG(TimeVariedGain)
TheTimeVariedGain(TVG)functionreducestheamountofclutter
intheshnderdisplaybyvaryingthegainthroughoutthecolumnof
water.Thisfunctionisusefulforreducingtheappearanceof‘noise’.
TheoperationoftheTVGsettingsisdependantupontheconnected
sonarmodule.
Non-CHIRPsonarmodules
•IncreasingtheTVGvalueincreasesthemaximumdepthtowhich
TVGisapplied.Ahighvaluedecreasesthegaininshallowwater
sothatonlythestrongestechoesaredisplayed.
•DecreasingtheTVGvaluereducesthemaximumdepth.Alow
TVGvaluehaslittleeffectongaininshallowwater.
TVGadjustmentcanbemadeautomaticallyormanually.
CHIRPsonarmodules
•Ahighvalueincreasesthegaininshallowwatersothatmore
targetsaredisplayed.
•Alowvaluereducesthegaininshallowwatersothatlessclutter
isdisplayed
TVGadjustmentcanbemadeautomaticallyormanually.
