2.SelectSet-Up.
3.SelectAdvanced.
4.SelectBearingAlignment.
5.Usetherotarycontroltoplacetheselectedtargetunderthe
Ship’sHeadingMarker.
6.PressOKwhencomplete.
Sonarcheck
Warning:Sonaroperation
•NEVERoperatethesonarwiththevesseloutofthe
water.
•NEVERtouchthetransducerfacewhenthesonar
ispoweredon.
•SWITCHOFFthesonarifdiversarelikelytobe
within7.6m(25ft)ofthetransducer.
Sonartransducerandsonarmoduleselection
YoumustdesignatethesonartransducerandSonarmodulethat
youwanttouse.
Sonarmoduleselection
•Sonarvariantdisplaysarettedwithaninternalsonar.
•Allvariantsallowyoutoconnectacompatiblesonarmodule.
•Ifanexternalsonarmoduleisconnectedtoasonarvariantdisplay
andapowersupplytheinternalsonarshouldbeswitchedoff.
•Touseadisplaysinternalsonaronasystemcontainingan
externalsonarmodule,disconnectthenetworkcablefromthe
externalsonarmoduleandusetheSounderSet-Upmenuinthe
shnderapplicationtoenabletheinternalsonar.
Transducerselection
•SonarvariantdisplaysallowthedirectconnectionofEITHERa
RaymarineORaMinnKotasonartransducer.
•AllvariantsallowtheconnectionofaRaymarinesonartransducer
viaacompatibleexternalsonarmodule.
•ForallvariantsusetheTransducerSet-Upmenuintheshnder
applicationtospecifythesonartransduceryouwanttouse.
Selectingthesonar
Applicableonlytomultifunctiondisplayswithaninternalsonar.
Withtheshnderapplicationdisplayed:
1.PresstheMenubutton.
2.SelectSet-Up.
3.SelectSounderSet-Up.
4.SelectInternalSounder.
5.SelecttheOnoption.
Note:TheInternalSoundermenuitemisdisabledifanexternal
sonarmoduleisconnectedtothemultifunctiondisplayanda
powersupply.Disconnectthenetworkcablefromtheexternal
sonarmoduletoenablethedisplay'sinternalsonaroption.

Withtheshnderapplicationdisplayed:
1.PresstheMenubutton.
2.SelectSet-Up.
3.SelectTransducerSet-Up.
4.SelecttheSelectTransducermenuitem.
5.Selectthetransduceryouwanttouse.
Checkingthesonar
Sonarchecksaremadeusingtheshnderapplication.
1.Selecttheshnderpage.
2.Checktheshnderdisplay.
Withtheshnderactiveyoushouldsee:
•Depthreading(indicatesthetransducerisworking).The
depthisshowninlargewhitenumbersatthebottomleftof
thescreen.
Thermalcamerasetupandchecks
Toensurecorrectoperationofthethermalcamerayoushouldsetup
andcheckthecamera'smainfunctions.
Beforeproceedingensurethatthecameraisconnectedcorrectly,
accordingtotheinstructionsprovided.Ifyoursystemincludesthe
optionalJoystickControlUnit(JCU)andPoE(PoweroverEthernet)
injector,ensuretheseunitsarealsoconnectedcorrectly.
Setupthecamera
Youwillneedto:
•Adjusttheimage(aspectratio,contrast,brightness,andsoon).
Checkthecamera
Youwillneedto:
•Checkthecameramovement(pan,tilt,zoom).
•Checkthecamera“home”positionisappropriate.
Adjustingthethermalcameraimage
Withthethermalcameraapplicationdisplayed:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectAdjustContrast.
3.SelecttheContrast,Brightness,orColoroptionasappropriate.
4.Usetherotarycontroltoadjustasrequired.
Panning,tilting,andzoomingthethermalimage
Thereare2waysofcontrollingthethermalcamerausingthe
thermalcameraapplication:
•UsingthetouchscreenandtheUniControl'srotarycontrol
(HybridTouchdisplaysonly).
•UsingtheUniControl'sjoystickandrotarycontrols.
Topanandtiltthethermalcamerausingtouchactions:
Moveyourngerupanddownthescreentotiltthecamera
upordown.
Moveyourngerleftandrightonthescreentorotatethe
cameraleftorright(panning).
Note:Youcannotzoomtheimageusingthetouchscreen.You
mustusethemultifunctiondisplay'srotarycontrol,orthethermal
camera'soptionalJoystickControlUnit(JCU).
