Placingandmovingthecursorusingtouch
Toplaceormovethecursoraroundthescreenonatouchscreen
multifunctiondisplayfollowthestepsbelow.
1.T ouchthescreenatanypositiononthescreentoplacethe
cursorthere.
Touchscreenlock
Youcanlockthetouchscreentopreventaccidentaluse.
ThisonlyappliestoHybridTouchdisplays.
Forexample,lockingthetouchscreenisparticularlyusefulinrough
waterorweatherconditions.
Thetouchscreenislockedfromthehomescreen.Aniconinthe
homescreenindicatesthelockstatus:
Touchscreenisunlocked.
Touchscreenislocked.Allfunctionsremain
availableusingthebuttonsandsoftkeys.
YoumustusetheUniControltounlockthetouchscreen.
Lockingthetouchscreen
ThisonlyappliestoHybridTouchdisplays.
Withthehomescreendisplayed:
1.SelecttheTouchLockicon.
Itchangescolortoindicatethatthetouchscreenisdisabled.All
functionsarestillavailableusingthebuttonsandUniControl.
Unlockingthetouchscreen
ThisonlyappliestoHybridTouchdisplays.
Withthehomescreendisplayed:
1.UsetheUniControltohighlighttheTouchLockicon.
2.PresstheOKbutton.
TheTouchscreenisenabled.

Thestatussymbolsonthedatabarconrmwhethertheappropriate
connectionstoyoursystemhavebeenmade.
Thesymbolsshowthestatusforthefollowing:
•Radarscanner.
•AISreceiver/transceiver.
•Sonarmodule.
•GPSreceiver.
•Autopilot.
Radarscannerstatussymbols
Theradarscannerpowermodestatusisindicatedinthedatabar.

(TX)
Rotatingicon,signifyingthatthescanneris
onandtransmitting.WhenSCANNERis
settoON,selectthismodetoactivatethe
scanner.Thisistheusualmodeofoperation.
Standby
(STBY)
Staticicon,indicatingthatthescannerison
butnottransmitting,andtheantennaisnot
rotating.Thescannerdoesnottransmitand
theradardataisremovedfromthescreen.
Thisisapower-savemodeusedwhenthe
radarisnotneededforshorttimeperiods.
Whenyoureturntotransmitmode,the
magnetrondoesnotneedtowarmupagain.
Thisisthedefaultmode.
OffScannerpoweredoffwhenradarnotrequired,
butdisplayisinuseforotherapplications,
suchasthechart.Whenselected,thesystem
countsdown.Duringthistimeyoucannot
re-powerthescanner.
Timed
Transmit
Scannerswitchesbetweenon/transmitting,
andstandbymode.Scannergoesintopower
savemodewhenconstantuseofradarisnot
required.
