Panningandtilting,andthethermalimage
OnaNeweSeriesmultifunctiondisplayyoucanpanandtiltthe
thermalcameraimageusingthetouchscreen.
Moveyourngerupanddownthescreentotiltthecamera
upordown.
Moveyourngerleftandrightonthescreentorotatethe
cameraleftorright(panning).
Thermalcamerahomeposition
Thehomepositionisapresetpositionforthecamera.
Thehomepositionusuallydenesausefulreferencepoint—for
example,straightaheadandlevelwiththehorizon.Youcansetthe
homepositionasrequiredandtoreturnthecameratothehome
positionatanytime.
Thehomeiconappearson-screenmomentarilywhenthe
camerareturnstothehomeposition.Theiconasheswhena
newhomepositionisset.
Resettingthethermalcameratothehomeposition
Inthethermalcameraapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectCameraHome.
Thecamerareturnstoitscurrentlydenedhomeposition,and
the“Home”iconappearson-screenmomentarily.
Settingthethermalcamerahomeposition
Withthethermalcameraapplicationdisplayed:
1.Usethejoystickortouchscreentomovethecameratothe
desiredposition.
2.SelectMenu.
3.SelectCameraSet-up.
4.SelectSetHomePosition.
The“Home”iconasheson-screentoindicatethatanewhome
positionhasbeenset.
Pausingthethermalcameraimage
Withthethermalcameraapplicationdisplayed:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectPauseImage.
Thermalcamerasurveillancemode
Insurveillancemodethecamerapansleftandrightcontinuously.
Thecameracontinuestopanuntilsurveillancemodeisdisabled,
orthecameracontrolsareusedtomovethecamera.Whenthis
occursthecameradoesnotautomaticallyresumesurveillance
modeandthemodemustbeenabledagainifrequired.
Enablinganddisablingthermalcamerasurveillancemode
Withthethermalcameraapplicationdisplayed:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectImageOptions.
3.UsetheSurveillancemenuitemtoselecttheOnorOffoption,
asappropriate.
Surveillancemodesettings
Thescanwidthandscanspeedcanbeadjusted.
ScanWidth
Thescanwidthdeterminesthedistancethatthecamerapansleft
andrightwheninsurveillancemode.
ScanSpeed
Thescanspeeddeterminesthespeedatwhichthecamerapans
leftandrightwheninsurveillancemode.
Settingscanwidth
Thesurveillancemodescanwidthcanbeadjustedbyfollowing
thestepsbelow.
Fromthethermalcameraapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectCameraSet-up.
3.SelectSurveillanceSettings.
4.SelectScanWidth.
Thescanwidthoptionswillbedisplayed:
•Narrow—Thecamerawillscanapproximately20ºleftand
rightofthecenter(40ºtotal).
•Medium—Thecamerawillscanapproximately40ºleftand
rightofthecenter(80ºtotal).
•Wide—Thecamerawillscanapproximately80ºleftandright
ofthecenter(160ºtotal).
5.Selecttherequiredoption.
Settingscanspeed
Thesurveillancemodescanspeedcanbeadjustedbyfollowing
thestepsbelow.
Fromthethermalcameraapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectCameraSet-up.
3.SelectSurveillanceSettings.
4.SelectScanSpeed.
Thescanspeedoptionswillbedisplayed:
•Slow
•Medium
•Fast
5.Selecttherequiredoption.
Thermalcamerastabilization
TheRaymarineT470SCandT473SCthermalcamerasincludesa
mechanicalstabilizationfeature.
Themechanicalstabilizationfeatureimprovesimagestabilityby
compensatingforvesselmotionandkeepingthecameraaimed
atthepointofinterest.Mechanicalstabilizationhastwoaspects:
horizontal(azimuth)andvertical(elevation).Bydefault,mechanical
stabilizationissettoon,whichprovidesthebeston-the-water
performanceparticularlywhenthevesselisunderwayandtraveling
onroughwaterorinswellconditions.Youcandisableorenable
stabilizationwheneveryouwant.Whenyouenablefullstabilization
(horizontalandvertical),theStabilizationOn(nowave)iconashes.
Itdoesnotdisplaycontinually,sincethisisthenormalmodeof
operation.Ifyoudisablestabilization,theStabilizationOff(wave)
iconremainsonthescreentomakeyouawarethatthemotionof
thevesselcanaffectthecameraperformance.Thisisnotanormal
modeofoperation.Stabilizationisautomaticallyturnedoffwhen
thecameraisstowed,butthesystemrestoresyoursettingwhen
thecameraispoweredon.Youcanturnoffthehorizontal(pan)
stabilizationwhileretainingthetiltstabilizationbyenablingpoint
mode.
Enabling/Disablingstabilization
Stabilizationisenabledbydefault.Youcanenableordisable
stabilizationatanytimebyfollowingthestepsbelow.
