9.1Autopilotcontrol
Youcanuseyourmultifunctiondisplaytocontrolyourautopilot.
Note:Forinformationonconnectingyourmultifunctiondisplay
toaRaymarineautopilotsystem,refertothedocumentationthat
accompaniedyourautopilot.
WiththeAutopilotControlfunctionenabled,youcanuseyour
multifunctiondisplayto:
•Engagetheautopilotandinstructittofollowaroute,orawaypoint.
•Disengagetheautopilot.
•Silencethewaypointarrivalalarm.

Note:ThePilotControldialogwillcloseifnoactionistaken
for10seconds.
ThePilotControldialogisdisplayedinthefollowingsituations:
•WhenyouselectMenu>Navigate>GotoWaypoint,Goto
CursororFollowRouteoptioninthechartapplication.
•WhenyouselectGotoWaypointorGotoCursorusingthechart
contextmenu.
•Whenyouplacethecursoroveranactiverouteorwaypoint
onthechartandselectStopGoto,StopFolloworAdvance
Waypointfromthecontextmenu.
•Whenyouarefollowingarouteorgoingtoawaypointorcursor
position,andselectMenu>Navigate>StopGoto,StopFollow,
orAdvanceWaypoint.
•Whenyouarriveatatargetwaypoint.
Note:
Whenarrivingatawaypoint,thedialogtitlebarturnsredto
indicatewaypointarrival.
Enablingtheautopilotcontrolfunction
Fromthehomescreen:
1.SelectSet-up.
2.SelectSystemSettings.
3.SelectAutopilotControlsothatOnishighlighted.
SelectingAutopilotControlwillswitchthecontrolbetweenOn
andOff.
Disengagingtheautopilotusingtheshortcuts
menu
Onmultifunctiondisplayswhichdonothaveadedicatedpilotbutton
(i.e.a65,a67,e7ande7D)youcandisengagetheautopilotfrom
theShortcutsmenu.
Withtheautopilotengaged:
1.PressandreleasethePOWERbutton.
2.SelectDisengagePilot.
Theautopilotisdisengaged,andputintostandbymode.
Disengagingtheautopilotusingthepilot
button
Onmultifunctiondisplayswhichhaveadedicatedpilotbutton(i.e.
NewcSeriesandNeweSeriesdisplays,excludingthee7ande7D)
youcandisengagetheautopilotusingthededicatedPilotbutton.
Withtheautopilotengaged:
1.PressthePilotbutton.
Theautopilotisdisengaged,andputintostandbymode.
Disengagingtheautopilotfromthechart
application
Onallmultifunctiondisplayvariantstheautopilotcanbedisengaged
fromthechartapplication’smenu.
Inthechartapplicationwiththeautopilotengaged:
1.SelectMenu>Navigate>StopGotoorStopFollow.
ThePilotControldialogisdisplayed.
2.SelectSTANDBY.
Theautopilotisdisengaged,andputinstandbymode.
Engagingtheautopilotusingtheshortcuts
menu
Onmultifunctiondisplayswhichdonothaveadedicatedpilotbutton
(i.e.a65,a67,e7ande7D)youcanengagetheautopilotfromthe
Shortcutsmenu.
Withtheautopilotengaged:
1.PressandreleasethePOWERbutton.
2.SelectEngagePilot.
Theautopilotisengaged.
Engagingtheautopilotusingthepilot
button
Onmultifunctiondisplayswhichhaveadedicatedpilotbutton(i.e.
NewcSeriesandNeweSeriesdisplays,excludingthee7ande7D)
youcanengagetheautopilotusingthededicatedPilotbutton.
Withtheautopilotdisengaged:
1.PressthePilotbutton.
Thepilotcontroldialogisdisplayed.
2.SelectEngagePilot.
Note:Youcanalsoautomaticallyengagetheautopilotby
pressingandholdingthePilotbutton.
Engagingtheautopilotfromthechart
applicationmenu
Inthechartapplication:
1.SelectMenu>Navigate>GotoCursor,GotoWaypoint,or
FollowRouteasappropriate.
ThePilotControldialogisdisplayed.
2.SelectEngagePilot.
Aconrmationpop-upmessageisdisplayed.
3.SelectYestoconrmandengagetheautopilot,or
4.SelectNotoleavetheautopilotinthecurrentstate.
