•CallBack—returnareceivedcall.
•Resend—onlyavailableintheoutgoingcall
log.
•Call—availableinthepositionlog.
•Sendposition—availableinthepositionlog.
•Requestposition—availableforindividual
anddistresscalls.
•SavetoPhonebook—availableforreceived
andoutgoingcallstonewcontacts.
•SendACK—availableforunacknowledged

AT estCallfeatureisavailableforthepurposesof
testingyourDSCVHFradioforcorrectoperation.
Thereare2typesoftestcall:
•TestcalltotheUSCoastGuardautomated
responsetestcallservice(MMSI:003669999).
Thistypeoftestcallwillreceiveanautomated
response(acknowledgement).
•Testcalltoanothervesselthathasaradiothat
supportsthetestcallfeature.Yourradiowill
automaticallyacknowledgetestcallsreceived
fromotherradios.
ForradiosthatdoNOTsupportthetestcallfeature,
correctradiooperationcanbetestedbymakingan
individualcallonchannel70toanotherDSCVHF
radio.
Raymarinerecommendsthatonceyou've
successfullyplacedatestcallyouaddthetestcall
MMSItoyourradio'sphonebookforeasyretrieval
forfuturetestcalls.Forinformationonhowtoaddan
MMSItoyourradio'sphonebook,refertotheradio's
userdocumentation.

theUSCoastGuard003669999MMSIwillNOT
receiveanautomatedresponse.

Makingatestcall
FromtheTestcallmenu:Menu>DSCCalls>Test
call.
1.SelectPhonebooktomakeatestcalltoa
contactsavedinyourPhonebook,or
2.SelectRecentCallstomakeatestcalltoa
contactthatyouhavecalledrecently,or
3.SelectEnterMMSItomanuallyentertheMMSI
numberofthestationyouwanttosendatestcall.
4.SelectacontactorenteranMMSImanuallyand
presstheOKbutton.
Thetestcallissent.
5.IfyoucalledtheUSCoastGuardautomated
responsetestcallMMSI(003669999),waitfor
anacknowledgement.Ifyoumadeatestcallto
anothervesselwithatestcallcapableradio,your
radiowillwaitforaresponse.
Whenanacknowledgementisreceived,an
audiblealarmissoundedandthemessage
(envelope)iconisdisplayed.
Receivingatestcall
Yourradiowillautomaticallyacknowledgereceived
testcallsfromotherstations
Whenatestcallisreceivedanoticationisdisplayed
toalertyouthatatestcallhasbeenreceivedand
automaticallyacknowledged.
