•Ensurethatthetotallengthofpowercablewillnotexceedthe
maximumlength,asdescribedunderPowercablelengths.
•Connectpoweronlyviathecorrectvaluethermalbreakerorfuse,
asdescribedunderPowerSupplyProtection.

groundsystem

Connectionprocedure
Connectthepowercablepartofthedigitalcabletoeithera12Vor
24Vdcsupply,asfollows:
1.Redwiretothesupply+ve,eitherattheoutputofthebattery
isolatorswitchoratadcdistributionpanel.
2.Blackwiretobatterynegative.
3.Drainconnection(screen)tothecommongroundpoint(see
Grounding)
Sharingabreaker
Wheremorethan1pieceofequipmentsharesabreakeryoumust
provideprotectionfortheindividualcircuits.E.g.byconnectingan
in-linefuseforeachpowercircuit.

Where possible, connect individual items of

fuses to provide the necessary protection.
