damagedand/ormisadjusted.Therefore,fullfunctionalitymustbetestedbeforeying
again without fail!
 > In the event of a crash, the throttle should be immediately set to zero. Rotating
propellers may be damagedif they come intocontact with obstacles. Before ying
again, these should be checked for possible tears or breakages!
 > Observethewarn/safetysignalsemittedbythe»Xtremeatalltimestoavoiddamage
(e.g.dischargedbattery).
8.4  Batteries
8.4.1  General information
 > Correctpolaritymustbeobservedwhileinsertingthebatteries.
 >
Remove battery from the »Xtreme after every ight. Remove the batteries from the
transmitterifyoudonotuseitforalongerperiodoftime.Dischargedbatteriesmayleak.
 > Leaking or damaged batteries can cause acid burns when in contact with skin. 
Therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted and leaking batteries.
 > Batteriesmustbekeptoutofthereachofchildren.Do notleavethebatterieslying
around.Thereisariskthatchildrenorpetsmayswallowthem.
 > Allbatteriesshouldbereplacedatthesametime.Mixingoldandnewbatteriescan
leadtobatteryleakageanddevicedamage.
 > Batteriesmustnotbedismantled,short-circuitedorexposedtore.Neverrecharge
non-rechargeablebatteries.Thereisariskofexplosion!
 > Nevermixregularbatteriesandrechargeablebatteries!
8.4.2  LiPo batteries
After the flight, the LiPo flight battery must be disconnected 
from the »Xtreme. 
Lithium is a highly reactive chemical element with a 
high energy density. In the case of overcharging, the 
LiPo rechargeable battery packs might catch fire or even 
explode. Therefore, LiPo rechargeable battery packs must 
always be put on a fire-proof surface for charging and the 
charging process must be supervised.
