15.4 Attaching the flight battery
Before you connect the battery to the »Xtreme turn on the 
transmitter. An unbound (transmitter and »Xtreme cannot 
communicate) aircraft is considered uncontrolled.
1.  Carefullyturnthe»Xtremeupsidedownandplaceitonastableandsoftsurface.
2.  Sufcientlysupportthe»Xtremefrombelow.
3.  Plugthe4-pinbatteryplug(16)intothebatteryconnectionsocket(14) at the under-
sideofthe»Xtreme.Youcanonlyconnectthepluginonedirection.Do not force the 
plug into the socket to avoid damage to the connectors. Ensure proper locking of the 
plug.
The »Xtreme is now live! Be attentive from now on!
4.  Placethebatteryintothebatterytray(12).Thebatterycablesmust not be twisted. To 
avoidtwistingturnthebatteryby180degrees,ifnecessary.
5.  Firmlysecurethebatterywiththeadhesive-backed hook and loop strap (11).
 > Tolaterremovethebattery,opentheadhesive-backedhookandloop strap and unlock 
thebatteryplug.Youcannowunplugandremovetheightbatteryfromthe»Xtreme.
15.5 Storage
 > Aftereveryightremovethebatteryfromthe»Xtremeandonlythenturnoffthetransmitter.
 > Store the battery ina dark,  cool  and  dry  place, away from the reach of children.
Moistureanddirectsunlightcanleadtobatterydamageorevenexplosion.
 > ItisbesttouseaspeciallydesignedstoragecontainerforLiPobatteries,whichyoucan
purchase from specialist shops.
