How to Paint your Lexan Body 1 2 Lexan bodies are painted on the inside. Please take care to make all of the mounting holes and trim the body completely before painting. Test fit all of the hard plastic parts before painting. Do NOT glue any accessory parts to the body before painting. Lexan bodies come with an outer film to protect them during painting. Do NOT remove this covering until painting is complete.
5 6 Once you are comfortable with your masking of the body, it is time to apply paint. Be sure to fully read and understand the directions of the paint you are using as supplied on the can. We recommend using lexan (polycarbonate) paint only. Normal household paints will not yield good results. You can take this time to design a custom masking design or paint in one solid color. There are many advanced lexan body painting techniques available online. We are only covering the basic techniques.
