Make sure to match the “+” and “–” ends of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment. 2 Install two AA size batteries. These captions are usually subtitles for the hearing impaired or foreign-language translations. All VCRs record the closed caption signal from television programs, so home-recorded video tapes also provide closed captions. Most DVDs and pre-recorded commercial video tapes provide closed captions as well.

The user must first enter a PIN (personal ID number) before any of the V-Chip restrictions can be set up or changed. How the V-Chip Works When the V-Chip software is activated (or turned on), it reads a code that most broadcasters send with programs.

A marker will be displayed. 2 Press the LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons to move to the desired bookmark icon. 3 When you reach the scene you want to mark, press the ENTER button.

MP3 Play Function 1 Press STOP to stop playback of the first song file, then press RETURN to display the music folder menu on the right side of the screen. Up to 8 music folders can be displayed at a time. If you have more than 8 folders on a disc, press the RIGHT arrow button to bring them up on the screen.

ISO 9660 format and Joliet MP3 files are compatible with Microsoft's DOS and Windows, and with Apple's Mac. These two formats are the most widely used. • When naming your MP3 files do not exceed 8 characters, and place ".mp3" as the file extension.

The VCR automatically stops rewinding or fast forwarding when the memory counter is at “00:00:00,” so you simply need to mark the desired scene as “00:00:00.” Then, you’ll be able to search for that place the next time you watch the tape. 1 While playing a tape, when you reach the scene you want, press the DISPLAY button twice.

This is called “dubbing.” To dub, you need: • your VCR • a separate VCR (or camcorder), and • two A/V cables with connectors. (You can find these at most electronics supply stores.) We recommend that you play the pre-recorded tape in the separate VCR (or camcorder) and record on your TV.
