Delete Protection
It is possible to prevent your hnages recorded on the card flom being acckiemally erased
by using the delete pro_ction feature.

Make sure the card is inserted (see page l_).
Open the LCD monitor and adjust.
Set the I)SC MODE switch to CARD.
Hold down tile Lock button and set tile POWER
switch to PLAY. ['he images recorded on tile
card are displayed in a thumbnail format.

Repeatedly press the MENU/I)ISPLAY button to
display the menu screen.
Press • or • _) select f"land press SET"_)
display the PIAYBACKSETscreen.
Press • or • to select PROJil'](_Trand press .qlx'T
If the image you want to protect does not
appear, press 41 or _- to scroll through the
thumbnail images.
Press _1 or _ to select and highlight it and
press Sl!Tto protect it. ['he c_ indicator appears
on the image when it is protected.
• If you want to protect another image, repeat
steps 8 and 9.
10. Press RETZiRX, and then press the MENU7
DISPLAY button to turn off tile Pl?O711,2(_Trscreen
To Cancel the Protection Setting
1. Perfi)rm steps 1 8 above.
2. Press _1 or _ to select and highlight it, and
press CA_YCIZI. to cancel protection. The
indicator disappears.
• To cancel the protection fi)r the image
enclosed by tile selection flame, press
(]AIY(]IZL.
Note: Formatting a card deletes all images on
it, including the ones with the delete-
protection setting
