Proper Care and Storage
Ke_,p dirt fiom entering the camcorder s cassette, tap__door. I)ust and grit are abrasive
and cause, excessive wear to both the"recording/playbac]_ heads and tape's.
Always cap the lens when the camcorder is not in use.
BH_)re handling thu camcorder make sure your hands and face arc fi'ee fi'om any
chemical products such as suntan lotion, as it might damage the' finish.

camcorder to swinging, shaking, or dropping.
Do not store the carncorder in temperatures below 22F (30C) or ab{)ve 149F (65 C).
When the carncorder is not in use, always remove ttae tape and power supply.
Retain the original carton f\_r furore storage or shipping purposes.
Tape Care and Storage
When finished with a tape, rewind it, remove it fiom the' camcorder, and lab_q it.
Protect th__tap__using the erase protection tab if' necessary.
Store tapes vertically in their protective cases at nomaal room temperatures. Never
leave the canacorder or tapes in a car or outdoors for an extended period of time.
Excessive heat or cold might damage tapes.
Keep tapes away fiom strong magnetic fields such as electric motors, speakers, and
other devices.
Keep dust fiom entering the cassette tape compartment. All dust is abrasive and
causes excessive wear on the tape and the camcorder's recording and playback
heads.
Never use tapes with damaged or spliced tape.
Do not use a tape if it has been damaged or exposed to moisture. The tape might
jam and/or damage the camcorder.
