White Balance Adjustment
White balance refers to the correctness of color reproduction under various lighting.
If th_, white balance is correct a]] other co]ors wi]] be accurately reproduced.
'l'h_' white balance is usually adjusted automatically. However you can reset this fLmction
manual]y to achieve a more profi'ssiona] c'oloritint r_,production.
Reset the White Balance
1. Press in the" Lock button whih' setting the
POWER switch to CAMEh'A.

In Record Standby mode, set the EASY/
MAN[/AL/AUPO switch to MANUAL
Hold a sheet of plain white paper in front of
the camcorder lens. Adjust the distance so that
the white paper fills the screen.
Note: It may be difficult to focus on the
white paper. In such a case, adjust focus
manually (see page 98).
Press the W/B button to s_,t the white, balance.
P;@llTl! HAL flash('s whih' the camcorder is
locking the white balance.
W/B LOCKwill appear when white balance
locking is complete.
Press the WiB button to exit white balance
lock.
Notes."
If WHITE BAL does not stop flashing,
press the W/B button to cancel white
balance.
The camcorder will return to AUTO
White Balance mode if a scene setting
is selected and then canceled.
Manual White Balance cannot be used
with Night Mode.
